Meet Carlos

Carlos was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where he still resides today. Although he’s traveled to 39 of the 50 states and multiple countries, Carlos always returns to St. Louis. Growing up, he played multiple sports (baseball, basketball, tennis and football), challenged himself academically at the #1 high school in the state of Missouri (Metro Classical Leadership Academy) and loved to indulge in sci-fi movies and books. Yes he’s a Trekkie, Star Wars geek and Marvel Comics enthusiast and professes that it’s never been a better time for his favorite movie genre.

Why He Loves This Work

Although he went to school for Mass Communications & Broadcasting, as well as business, in 1993 Carlos found his true calling in the field of Marketing…especially Customer Loyalty Marketing. Having started his career in channel and employee engagement, Carlos made the move to consumer focused strategies in 1998 and has been hooked ever since. Every day he evaluates brands messaging, organizational readiness and execution regarding delivering a good and consistent customer experience. His passion for marketing and customer engagement is on 24/7. His love of customer loyalty/engagement/experience marketing has evolved Carlos into an industry thought leader who has authored hundreds of articles, blogs, tweets and webinars on various topics focused around customer experience, engagement and loyalty marketing.
